I JOINED THE ARMY
after my father died. I was19. He was 38. My father watched Noriega turn Panama into a living hell. He told us that the most beautiful sound he ever heard was the sound of helicopter rotor blades in the middle of the night. American soldiers had come stop the madness. My father brought us to this country because he never wanted his kids to go to sleep afraid again. I joined the Army to honor my father. In 1996 I became a Warrant Officer and helicopter pilot at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
STRENGTH OF HONOR.
STRENGTH OF NATION.
